My Journey

My journey in life has hit some bumps in the road the last few years. I’m in a time where there is much reflection and growth taking place at the moment. In a sense, my life is on hold, but it is for the best. I am taking each day as a learning experience about my life. I’m learning what makes my life whole and complete. With acquiring that knowledge of myself, I want to practice what I’m learning to better myself and others I come into contact each day.

I do sometimes wonder why no one really has the same journey. Yes, we all experience the same things in life at different times and experience different levels in challenges. Those moments are made to build us up and use what we’ve learned to help each other go through our hard moments in this journey we call life. We are all on different journeys to learn and grow through the experiences we gain and to impact those around us. In any given day, look at the people around you. Each person is going through something but would never know since we tend to keep to ourselves. I have the opportunity to work from home and any location. Some days I’ll work at a coffee shop and I run into many people in just a few hours. There must be a sign on my head that says “Free Counseling” because I meet many people who are going through so much, but those are the individuals who are helping me count my positives in life and use what I’ve learned to help them in their journey.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”

– Lao Tzu

Your journey is what you make of it. You can change your journey. We make the choices in life but the consequences (both good and bad) will linger. So, choose wisely with life decisions. Sometimes our paths appear as though they would never amount to anything, but remember, nothing is impossible. Take a moment to reflect on your own journey and see what changes need to be made and continue with a different mind, body, and soul on your new journey.
